All in color

Colorful stars: on the red carpet, Isabelle Huppert chose green this year. The French star surprised the Croisette with her full jumpsuit dress, even covering the shoes and hands, a draped outfit signed Balenciaga.

The American Viola Davis, known for her film roles (The Color of Feelings) and the series Murder, also adopted flash colors for this edition: she paraded in a loose lemon yellow dress, apple green tuxedo or pink jumpsuit.

French actress Bérénice Béjo, starring in Coupez! by Michel Hazavinicius, stood out in a tight and sequined fuschia jumpsuit, a red tulle skirt tied at the waist.

In another style, the artistic director of the Balmain house, Olivier Rousteing, appeared dressed all in white, down to his platform shoes. He wore an oversized suit adorned with gold brooches.

Baby bump

Adriana Lima, who for years was one of the angels of lingerie brand Victoria's Secret -- whose show was a highlight of Fashion Week -- caused a stir on the red carpet with her dresses revealing her belly pregnant.

Like Rihanna, who proudly showed off her belly throughout her pregnancy, the Brazilian model did the same at Cannes. First in a long black dress, open only on the stomach. Then, in a saffron outfit, of ethnic inspiration.

Each time, few or no accessories, as if the message - that of triumphant motherhood - resided only in her belly.

Iberian diva

In a black femme fatale suit, in a fuchsia Hollywood star-style evening dress or in “so chic” white Bermuda shorts: the Spaniard Rossy de Palma lit up the red carpet with her whimsical and sophisticated outfits.

Pedro Almodovar's favorite actress, 57, member of the Camera d'or jury - which rewards a first film - also bet on accessories to perfect her looks: dark glasses, fan, long earrings , long trains accompanying her dresses... Nothing was left to chance.

Like a Kim Kardashian look? The most listened to French-speaking artist in the world, Aya Nakamura, walked the red carpet for the first time in a long, tight black dress revealing her back, evoking the one worn by the American star and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian, at the 2021 Met Gala.

The difference ? If Kanye West's ex had appeared with his face completely covered, the interpreter of Dadja was her, wearing an elegant bun, following the precept to the letter: "Less is more".

Ranked in 2018 by Time magazine among the 100 most influential people in the world, Indian actress Deepika Padukone, 36, is THE member of the jury who stands out as the winner of the Palme d'Or in style.

His trademark ? Impressive colorful dresses, often draped. Like her magnificent orange strapless dress, embellished with green earrings. But above all, Deepika Padukone is the queen of accessories: hair bands, huge earrings, necklaces...
