The textile chain Primark opened its new store this Thursday in the La Vaguada shopping center (Madrid), with which it has created more than 250 jobs, after investing more than 10 million euros, as reported by the company.

This store, which is Primark's 61st in Spain and 440th in the world, has allowed the company to continue its growth in the Community of Madrid, where it already has nine stores since it opened its first store in the center in 2006. Full Moon commercial.

The new store has more than 5,750 square meters of commercial space distributed over two floors and will have, as a novelty for the company in Spain, 23 self-pay checkouts, in addition to the traditional checkout checkouts.

The general director of Primark for Spain and Portugal, Carlos Inacio, explained that "this opening is the result of the effort and dedication of the entire company team."

For his part, the director of the La Vaguada shopping center, Javier Escusol, has stated that the new arrival of Primark "will increase the volume of visits, as well as the average time spent in La Vaguada."

In 2022, Primark reinforced its commitment to Spain by announcing a capital investment of 100 million euros in the Spanish market, which includes 80 million euros in eight new stores and an expansion, as well as the investment of 20 million in improvements and renovations. of establishments.

La Vaguada is the fifth of these eight stores, along with Jaén Plaza, as well as two more stores in the Community of Madrid, Alcalá Magna and Calle del Conde de Peñalver, this year.
