Sánchez says that the PGE will be extended for the beginning of 2024 and hopes to approve new ones before April

MADRID, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, stated this Thursday that the General State Budgets (PGE) for 2023 will be extended "for the beginning of next year", although he hopes to have new ones "for the first quarter" of 2024.

This was stated by the head of the Executive during an interview on TVE reported by Europa Press, in which he also referred to the upcoming expiration of the measures to relieve families and companies due to rising prices.

Sánchez has stated in this regard that the Government will speak with the affected sectors, for example, with the transporters, as well as with the parliamentary groups, given the "parliamentary minority" of the coalition, to try to address the "most urgent" needs and adapt to the current price situation, which "is no longer what it was two years ago."

"Inflation was at 10%. Today, fortunately, thanks also to the income protection policies that the Government of Spain has implemented, we have one of the lowest inflation in Europe and that also allows us to address the revaluation of the pensions according to the CPI above 3% for next year," the president assured.
