MADRID, 11 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Aena's airport network plans to operate a total of 30,156 flights between this Wednesday, October 11 and Sunday, October 15, in this first long weekend after the summer, according to data provided to Europa Press by the airport manager.

This operation is 6.75% higher than that of the same period in 2022, which had 28,012 flights in five days. With respect to 2019, it cannot be compared, since this year there were three days to enjoy this bridge, with 18,150 movements.

Thus, this Sunday will be the day with the highest number of scheduled operations, with a total of 6,254 flights planned, followed by Saturday, when 6,083 operations are planned, and Friday, when 6,041 movements will be carried out. The calmest day will be today, October 11, when 5,881 flights will be made.

The five airports with the most operations during these days will be Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol and Gran Canaria. All aerodromes exceed 2022 operations.

Specifically, the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas is at the head of the movements of the national airports on this bridge, with 5,284 operations, with Sunday being the day with the most flights, up to 1,091.

Next is El Prat airport, with 4,517 movements planned for these five days; that of Palma de Mallorca, with a total of 4,017 operations; and those of Málaga-Costa del Sol and Gran Canaria, with flights 2,425 and 1,743, respectively.

Flight scheduling is subject to changes that may occur in the operations of the different airlines depending on the different situations that arise.
