Kyle Brant Kresge, of the 1200 block of Glenwood Road in Chestnuthill Township, is charged with homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, police said.

He was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Fluegel and sent to Monroe County jail without bail, according to court records.

Man found shot to death

Kresge shot Lawrence E. Purcell Jr., 34, of Polk Township, during a dispute between 11 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. at Kresge's home, police said. Kresge dragged Purcell's body from the home at 1289 Glenwood Road and covered it with debris in an attempt to conceal it on the nearly one-and-a-half-acre property, police said.

Troopers worked with the Monroe County District Attorney's Office on the investigation.
