From Saturday, Quebecers will be able to benefit from a network of river shuttles allowing them to connect the Old Port to Pointe-aux-Trembles, but also to Boucherville, Île Sainte-Hélène, Longueuil, Parc de Promenade-Bellerive to Île Charron and Boucherville.

"Citizens of the greater Montreal region can finally benefit from an enhanced and diversified public transit network that allows them to take full advantage of our majestic river," said Transport Minister Chantal Rouleau, who gave the kick-off to the 2022 season, Tuesday morning.

The river shuttle network will include six links that will connect Pointe-aux-Trembles to the Old Port of Montreal, the Old Port to Boucherville, the Old Port to Île Sainte-Hélène and to Longueuil, as well as the Promenade-Bellerive park on Île Charron and Boucherville.

Available from June 6, this last link is intended as a solution to the Louis-Hippolyte-LaFontaine tunnel construction site, it was specified. The other river shuttles will be available from June 4.

“Shuttles are a unique mode of transport that provides sustainable mobility that meets the environmental challenges of our time and avoids traffic congestion. I invite everyone to use this service for their daily trips!” encouraged Ms. Rouleau.

Tickets are available now on the websites of the Navark and AML river companies.
