Whatsapp, the social network owned by Meta, has begun to progressively restore its service after it stopped working worldwide before 09:00 Spanish time, at which time users were no longer able to send or receive messages through the application. .

The service, which has been suspended for almost two hours, affecting millions of users, began to be restored little by little, allowing the sending and receiving of individual messages and progressively in groups.

The Whattsapp Web functionality, which allows connection through the computer, continued to have difficulties, but little by little it was being restored.

Neither WhatsApp itself nor Meta have commented on the interruption of the service or provided information on its restoration, which has led affected users to seek alternatives such as the Telegram messaging application first thing in the morning.
