After all, a good thing can be said about Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz in Salzburg: There are numerous possibilities to get away quickly from him. End of 16th century. In second century it was created as a reservoir for butcher to minimise risk of disease on or side of Salzach. Today, twelve lines of public transport network meet at Hanuschplatz – re are more transfer options at no or place in city. It must refore not be surprising that most exciting artists of German-speaking hip hop have named mselves after this dismal-functional transport hub. Rap music is Street music, and nowhere is Salzburg more street than at Hanuschplatz.

Eleven or twelve musicians belong more or less firmly to Hanuschplatzflow. The crew is not quite sure about that. The group Guru is rapper Young Krillin, but most successful members are crack Ignaz and Viennese newcomer Yung Hurn, whose videos are called on YouTube millions of times.

In last five years y have created a sound that has not existed before in German-speaking hip-hop: airy, cheesy, blasted. Innovation and controversy are refore inextricably linked to Hanuschplatzflow. Eir you hold m for saviors of Deutschrap. Or you don't hold your music for rap at all.

The origins of Hanuschplatz sound are in sourn states of USA. At end of nineties, so-called trap rap developed, a hip-hop game, whose protagonists mostly reported ir double lives between drugs, violence and a lack of career opportunities. Characteristic are blunt kick-drums, rattling snares and cheap Synthiemelodien. Instead of developing a complex flow, rappers bark out ir texts in a word-like style. In video to his song No staggers yung Hurn between cigarette vending machine and ornamental leeks around. He pushes a shopping cart full of young women through Viennese night, whistles at least four kinds of drugs in, wagging with (possibly real) banknote bundles and leaves a (of course fake) Mingvase fall. The text consists largely of phrase "and I say no", but nothing on piece seems pretentious. It has something gentle, touching, as Yung Hurn clings to se rap standards. As if y were last certainty of his young, messy life.

As well as his friends in Salzburg, Yung Hurn from less popular side of river: He grew up in Vienna-Danube city. He considers or biographical details to be covered like most members of Hanuschplatzflow. His bourgeois name is unknown, he may be beginning to mid-20s. Yung Hurn spontaneously taps his lines into smartphone, often sound like drunk WhatsApp chat histories. What ors rhyme is to him is repetition. If he sits on a text for more than ten minutes, he throws it away.

The texts, which Yung Hurn does not throw away, are usually stupid in a clever way and thus expose language infatuation of many German-speaking rappers as an intense Strebertum. The intoxication is his leitmotif, and of course it is a lot about booze and coke. But it is also about romance, about sex and unconditional love for women and crew as well as intoxication of repetition.

In fact, Yung Hurn is a bellflower habit animal. Even though most of his habits are unhealthy.
