I remember when it was exciting to do something ironic. A few years ago, I was with two girlfriends at McDonald's. It was an industrial area, and we were hungry, and I said, "We can go to McDonald's!" And one laughed and said, "Haha, yes, I haven't been re for a long time!", and or laughed too and said "Yes, how funny, let's go". So we went ironically to McDonald's.
The or customers were normal re. Unironic, pretty sad. They were way to imagine fast-food clientele a little outside city on a weekday just before noon: Under-class, overweight. Little chatty, with five fries at once wiping ketchup from paper pad on tray. We were glad not to be you. Every day of our lives we had been glad not to be her, but now, in direct comparison, we once again became aware of this. They were also glad not to be us. Our laughter confirmed m in assumption that Hipstertussen are cold-hearted narcissists, halt anti. But y were polite enough to punish us only with glances.
We ironically ate two large fries, a menu and each an ice cream and n were ironically finished by charge of salt, sugar and fat.
In meantime, this ubiquity of irony just still sucks me. The Internet, with humor, does what pornography has done with sex – duplication, flattening, dulling. Everything must always be mildly funny and is so often humorous broken until it crumbles. We live in times of Hyperironie, nothing is more sacred or serious.
"Herrjemine, something Gruesome"Every tweet from president is both a fart and potential reason for a nuclear war. Newspapers are funny, footballers are funny, music is funny, politicians are funny, and editor of Duden sometimes writes something extra wrong on internet, because that is also supposedly funny. It's always said, "That's ironic meant everything, and it's awesome, just because it sucks, makes you loose, everybody!"

I don't mind taking things with humor, and I pity people who can't laugh at anything. But I also think that this Ironiesucht train us all to have an emotional disability. Who can never take anything seriously, can never really find something real funny. When was last time you had a normal, serious conversation with a person under 35 who didn't end up in shrugs and a quote from pop culture?
Maybe it's just my circle of friends, but when something terrible happens again in world, my environment immediately panics. Do not panic about terribleness of world, but panic because of fastest possible utterance. "Herrjemine, something Gruesome", n all seem to think, and immediately afterwards: "How do I pack this into a cheeky tweet that brings people to smile and like." All brea appalled, a first breaks ice, and n race starts in net with jokes about what happened.
