RELEASE: Crowe and the Ceuta Chamber of Commerce join forces to attract technology and startups to the Autonomous City

Ceuta and Seville, April 19, 2023.

The objective is to promote the arrival of companies linked to new technologies and the creation of firms linked to this sector.

The Ceuta Chamber of Commerce and Crowe have sealed a collaboration protocol with the aim of promoting the arrival of companies linked to new technologies and the creation of startups, as well as promoting the training of professionals in this field. In this way, The Government of Ceuta and the Chamber of Commerce go a step further in their firm commitment to entrepreneurship and to attract companies with high added value, an objective that will be reinforced with this alliance. Crowe, the ninth world firm in professional services, has eleven offices in Spain and close to 800 in the world, where more than 38,000 employees provide their services in 130 countries. The protocol has been signed by Karim Bulaix García-Valiño, president of the chamber institution, and Adrián Fernández-Romero, partner in the Crowe office in Madrid and head of the Seville office. To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the Ceuta Open will play a key role Future-El Ángulo, an initiative promoted by the City -through PROCESA- and Telefónica for the development of innovative projects and training in New Technologies through the Startup Accelerator and the Technological Institute. The promotion of talent, the digital transformation of companies, the commitment to entrepreneurship and technological training are the axes on which the initiative revolves, which aspires to position El Ángulo as a reference space in innovation for the Autonomous City of Ceuta, with the aim of creating and enriching the business fabric of Ceuta. Karim Bulaix García-Valiño points out that "the Chamber and the Autonomous City are working together to turn Ceuta into one of the leading digital and investment poles in Spain and that this brings with it the generation of employment and wealth. In this context, it was essential to complete the effort that is being made in the generation and incubation of startups with the last step, the integration of the investment that promotes the growth of these companies. This protocol is a very important step because it will allow us not only to generate startups, but also to attract those that are already in the initial stages of the market, thereby generating jobs and positioning in Ceuta." For his part, Adrián Fernández-Romero underlines that " Our firm has been focused on new technologies for decades, a strategy that has led us to currently have an area dedicated exclusively to Smart Data
