HONOR announces the world's thinnest foldable smartphone: HONOR Magic V2, through collaboration with Porsche Design
Madrid, January 29, 2024.- HONOR today announced the availability in Europe of its new terminal, HONOR Magic V2, the world's thinnest folding smartphone. The launch event, held at the Porsche Experience Center in Leipzig (Germany), was attended by more than 400 representatives, including media, collaborators, etc.; showcasing HONOR's commitment to innovation and design excellence.
Attendees were given an exclusive look at the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR model, which combines HONOR's latest technological innovations with the timeless elegance of Porsche Design. Likewise, they had the unique opportunity to delve into the fusion of a perfect tandem: luxury and technology through exciting racing simulations and a behind-the-scenes visit to the Porsche factory.
HONOR Magic V2 redefines the foldable experience
After two years of development and research, HONOR Magic V2 includes more than 210 technological advances, such as ultra-thin battery, cooling system, hinge, Type-C connector, screen, speaker, etc. Including all of the above, HONOR Magic V2 is the thinnest foldable smartphone that HONOR has introduced to date, weighing only 231g and a thickness of only 9.9mm when folded. It features a new generation of Silicon-Carbon-Dual-Battery with an average thickness of only 2.72mm, achieving a high capacity of up to 5,000mAh in the space of a foldable, ultra-thin and light flagship body.
HONOR Magic V2, in addition to its slim profile, boasts pioneering use of aviation materials and a titanium alloy hinge manufactured using 3D printing technology, a first for foldable devices. And, on the other hand, its durability is certified by SGS to exceed 400,000 folds, which promises reliability for a decade with daily use.
In turn, HONOR Magic V2 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP (f/1.9) main camera, a 50 MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide-angle camera, and a telephoto camera. 20 MP (f/2.4). The dual front camera setup includes two 16 MP (f/2.2) cameras.

In the pursuit of comfortable portability, HONOR and Porsche Design have jointly redefined the choice of materials in the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR to create a pioneering handset that weighs just 234g and is just 9.9mm thick.
Incorporating the industry's first anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR moves ahead of the pack with improvements to screen durability, providing greater protection to the handset. Scratch resistance is ten times improved and the hardness index of more than seven on the Mohs scale - a scale that indicates the degree of resistance of a material - guarantee superior resistance to damage.
Color, price and availability
HONOR Magic V2 will be available in two elegant colors in Spain: Purple and Black with vegan leather finish. Starting January 26, HONOR Magic V2 can be pre-sold at Hihonor.es for an RRP of €1,999. However, the terminal arrives with a special launch offer available until February 11 that includes:
