BEIJING, April 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Ampace launched an all-in-one energy storage facility - "Ampace C5" for commercial and industrial uses on April 11, during its exhibition at the 12th International Conference and Exhibition of Energy Storage (ESIE) in Beijing.

With "uncooled control over the entire temperature range", this product is a breakthrough in structural design and battery cells, enabling a 46% reduction in auxiliary power operating costs in 10 years and redefines the new industry standard for commercial and industrial energy storage products with ultra-high reliability and economic efficiency.

Structurally, the "No cooling and control of the entire temperature range" solution abandons the traditional liquid and air cooling mode, adopting a minimal design that allows operation in a wider temperature range.

In terms of battery cells, Kunlun Battery Cell 2.0 supports the new GT40 technology, in which new cathode and anode materials, new electrolyte materials and double-head battery tab structure are adopted. Compared with previous battery cells, Kunlun Battery Cell 2.0 effectively improves its thermal stability and ensures high reliability and long cycle life performance of the battery in different working environments.

In addition, Ampace C5 also adopts Ampace's self-developed "Shield Cell" technology to contain the thermal runaway of the battery cell. The explosion relief valve at the top of the cabinet provides safer explosion relief, protecting the safety of personnel and surrounding property.

Ampace C5 is expected to be mass produced in July 2024 and will show its extraordinary strength in 5G base stations, IDC data centers, integrated photovoltaic and ESS charging stations, automobile battery swapping and other key fields, to establish a point reference for new quality productive forces in the energy field.
