- The start-up TreeWater launches RECYCLO, a unique procedure to recycle wastewater from laundries
PARIS, France, September 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- In Europe there are 11,000 laundries that consume 40 million m3 of water per year. Despite the sector's efforts, laundries continue to consume a lot of water and emit micropollutants (phthalates, phenols and heavy metals).
To reduce the environmental impact of laundries and save water resources, the French start-up TreeWater has created RECYCLO.
This innovative and pioneering procedure allows:

In this way, RECYCLO eliminates more than 90% of contaminants and recycles between 50 and 80% of the water treated in the cleaning process.
Inauguration of the first prototype on October 26, 2023
The first RECYCLO prototype will be inaugurated on October 26, 2023 in the laundry of the Ramón Noguera Foundation, in Girona (Spain).
The process will then be extended to all of Europe. The goal is to equip more than 40 European laundries in the next 5 years.
