AVON --- Breaking and entering, Mallard Cove: A woman reported returning home from grocery shopping at 12:18 p.m. Jan. 21 and finding her house broken into and ransacked and an undisclosed amount of jewelry missing. There were no witnesses to the incident and police were unable to locate finger prints.

Suspicious person Traveler's Point Road: Police responded to a call at 8:22 a.m. Jan. 21 of a man seen running from behind a building and across the street, near Traveler's Point Road and Pin Oak Parkway. Police were unable to locate the suspect, who was described as a black man wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans.

Underage drinking, Kinzel Road: Police responded to a call at 1:10 a.m. Jan. 21 of an underage party at a home in the 3600 block of Kinzel Road. No further information was available at the time of the report.

Theft, Chester Road: Police arrested a woman for shoplifting from a Walmart store at 10:40 p.m. Jan. 21.
