These kids have been jumping for 25 years: Strong Points

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - The Heartbeats Jump Rope Team is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In honor of that milestone they will be performing a very special community show in Revere where it all began. It will be held on Sat., March 4 from 5 - 6:00 p.m. in the gym at Revere High School, 3420 Everett Rd., Richfield. Team members will be displaying competition as well as performance routines and many alumni members will be participating in several of the evening's routines. The event is open to the public, and there is no charge for admission. The audience will be astonished by routines that include flips, tricks, spins, vaults and more - all performed to music and done while jumping a rope. Also part of the evening will be the new team show which will be entered in the national competition this summer at Disney World. Come watch and be amazed. You won't believe your eyes!

The Heartbeats, now comprised of jumpers from all over northeast Ohio, promote the sport of jump rope as fun, healthy, challenging, competitive and entertaining for people of all ages. A life-long sport, jump rope helps build athletic skills and a positive self-image. Team members have participated in four Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades, performed at halftime shows for the Cleveland Cavs as well as at last year's Cleveland Indians opening day and have won numerous ribbons and medals over the years (individually and as a team) at USA Jump Rope National Championships, AAU Junior Olympic Games and World Cup competitions.
