Here's how police tied 7-month-old burglary to Camden man

EVESHAM TWP. -- A July residential burglary culminated with the arrest of a Camden City man who apparently left his fingerprints at the scene, Evesham police said Friday.

According to authorities, a home along the 500 block of N. Elmwood Road was burglarized on July 1, 2016. The suspect had reportedly broken a first-floor rear window and went after electronics and jewelry once inside.

Six months after the incident, fingerprints lifted from the scene and analyzed by New Jersey State police led authorities in January to 47-year-old Camden City man Anthony Thomas.

Evesham police said a joint investigation with Camden County metro officers resulted in Thomas being found and arrested on Feb. 1.

Thomas was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft. He was held without bail in the Burlington County Jail, police said.
