Our government is still paying millions of dollars to support "Voice of America," according to Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. Why? Everyone around the world now has  computers, etc., so why do we need this?

This money could be spent sending food  to the poor here at home, or to places like Venezuela, where people are starving to death, thanks to their government. I am curious.
