RARITAN TWP. - A Trenton woman who passed fake money at several township businesses was finally caught after using counterfeit $100 bills at a CVS Pharmacy and a Hallmark, police said.

Iziera D. Johnson, 18, is facing 13 forgery and theft charges for passing counterfeit money at a CVS Pharmacy on Route 31 and at the Hallmark store in the Flemington Marketplace located off routes 202 and 31 and Church Street, as well as other locations in Raritan Township, police said.

She was charged at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday after having been interviewed on Wednesday while at the Hunterdon County Jail, where she was being held on warrants for her arrest, police said.

Police were first called to CVS and Hallmark on Feb. 7 after Johnson allegedly used $100 bills to make a small purchase and receive change, according to a report.

Johnson was identified based on a physical description provided by store employees and surveillance footage. She was transferred to the Somerset County Jail where she was being held on the charges pending a hearing, police said.

The initial investigation was done by Officer William Cialone with the follow up investigations and charges by Det. Scott Iglay.
