Kurt Warner's son to walk on at Nebraska

Kade Warner, the son of Hall of Fame inductee and NFL Network analyst Kurt Warner, is primed to make an impact on college football. But unlike his famous father, he won't be doing it at the quarterback position.

The younger Warner, a wide receiver from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain High, announced Thursday via Twitter that he will play at the University of Nebraska:

Words cannot describe the feeling. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. God is Great! #GBR pic.twitter.com/BdPovHOJ2f

Warner will join the team as a walk-on after catching 83 passes for 1,063 yards and 14 touchdowns at Desert Mountain last year, per 247sports.com. According to the report, his other walk-on options included UCLA, Arizona State and Iowa.

The elder Warner, a two-time MVP who won a Super Bowl with the St. Louis Rams, was selected to the 2017 Hall of Fame class earlier this month.
