LaMelo Ball, younger brother of UCLA's Lonzo Ball, scores 92 points in high school basketball game

LaMelo Ball, younger brother of UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball, made headlines Tuesday night with a historic performance in a Chino Hills (Calif.) victory over Los Osos.

Ball scored 92 points -- that is not a typo -- on 37 of 61 shooting to lead Chino Hills past Los Osos by a score of 146-123 -- also not a typo.

Ball, who is a five-star commit for UCLA in the Class of 2019, apparently had 29 points at halftime, before pouring in 63 in the second half, including 41 in the fourth quarter alone. The sophomore went 7 of 22 from three-point range, 11 of 14 from the free throw line and added seven assists and five rebounds, according to a box score share on Twitter.

According to the LA Times, his 92 points is only a CIF Southern Section record, and not a state record. That, according to the Times, belongs to one Tigran Grigorian, who dropped 100 for Mesrobian in 2003.
