Tom Herman added one final signature to his first Texas recruiting class, that of three-star receiver Jordan Pouncey.

Formerly committed to Norte Dame, the Winter Park High School (FL) senior re-opened his recruitment when Fighting Irish receivers coach Mike Denbrock left to become Cincinnati's new offensive coordinator.

"The way I saw it was if my receivers coach left, I might as well go find a new one," Pouncey told the Orlando Sentinel.

He narrowed his list down to Texas, Notre Dame, Miami and Tennessee, ultimately choosing the Longhorns on National Signing Day.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Pouncey was renowned for his versatility at Winter Park.

As a senior he finished with 768 rushing yards, 431 receiving yards and 290 return yards. He had 13 total touchdowns and added three interceptions – yes, he played defense, too.

Even with the late addition of Pouncey, Texas will finish with its lowest-rated recruiting class on the century.

Herman's first class is ranked 25th by 247Sports, 28th by Scout, 31st by Rivals and 33rd by ESPN.

"I'm proud of the calculated nature in which we put together this class," Herman said.
