The tone towards China and Russia is clear and hard. In new national security strategy of Trump government, both countries are classified as "revisionist", y wanted to challenge "America's power, influence and interests" and would try to undermine "security and prosperity" of United States. This is a hard substance and has also provoked corresponding reactions in Beijing and Moscow.

Russia, in particular, gets rid of its fat, trying to "weaken influence of US in world and separate us from our allies and partners." Moreover, Russian nuclear weapons are " most important existential threat to United States".

China is accused in 68-page document that "contrary to our hopes, it has expanded its power at expense of sovereignty of ors", with reference to data ft, trade deficits and "characteristics of its authoritarian system". But that is not enough: report mentions both countries in one breath with North Korea and Iran.

It's about KP of China and about Putin

Hard substance, but quite true in strategic analysis, whereby one must differentiate. Russia is basically Putin. An autocrat who maintains a network of dependencies. Its pillars are secret services, oligarchs and military. And with China criticized in security report, Chinese Communist Party is meant to be a tightly Leninist organization that controls China's society and Economy, and whose chief is currently XI Jinping.

The authors of report, coming from US National Security Council under H.R. McMaster, have tried to bring trumps America first toger with this realpolitik. But that also led to blurring. The report states that China is trying to oust US from Indo region, expanding its state-driven economic model and rearranging region according to Chinese ideas.

This is contrary to fact that, last January, US President Trump has already announced participation in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade Area – precisely instrument that Beijing could have been able to nurture in this sense. Trump, however, strictly rejects multilateral trade agreements, damaging its interpretation of workplace at home – America first.

Realpolitik and trumps policy interpretation

According to security report, Russia wants to restore its great power status and attempts to destabilize democratic States by means of information technology. Just on his own doorstep, in US presidential election of 2016, Trump denies such interference – although his secret services tell something completely different.

The real politics of Trump's very own policy interpretation seems to be separating here. In contrast to China's head of State and party XI Jinping, US president has so far been almost admiring. Trump emphasizes "great chemistry" between him and Xi, bromance called it media after first meeting, an intimate male relationship. He chummy with Putin, he recently thanked him for his annual press conference to acknowledge strong economic development of US, Putin thanked in return for CIA aid in terrorist investigation. And he wants to build "great partnerships" with both Russia and China, said US president at presentation of security report.

On or hand, China and Russia as "revisionist powers" are now officially opponents of America. The discrepancy between language of security document and Trumps against XI and Putin is refore great. It may have to do with fact that Trump of Moscow and Beijing is hoping for help in North Korea problem. But men's friendship on one hand, and harsh criticism on or, do not necessarily make US president in China and Russia credible.
