Four council seats are up for grabs this year.
Negron campaigned on increasing government transparency and along with Councilman Michael Colon recently introduced a city ethics ordinance, which would impose campaign contribution limits and create an independent ethics board.
A council committee meeting on the measure is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday.
The South Bethlehem resident is currently the community liaison for HGSK Law Firm and she serves on the board of the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley.

Negron is the former vice chairwoman of the city planning commission. She's worked as a community organizer, executive director of nonprofits and as a legislative assistant for State Rep. Steve Samuelson.
A mother of three grown daughters, Negron moved to South Bethlehem in 1996 and still resides there, which often factors into her council votes.
She and council Vice President Adam Waldron were the only two council members to vote against backing the debt for the construction of a 626-space parking garage at Third and New streets. Negron urged for a comprehensive parking study of South Bethlehem and argued the deck did not fit in the surrounding neighborhood.
Negron joins Councilman Eric Evans and Bryan Callahan, who have already announced their re-election campaigns. Waldron has not announced his candidacy but he is expected to also run for another term.
