Police are investigating a Wednesday morning homicide in Bethlehem's South Side, according to Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.

The district attorney confirmed the killing but did not have further details at this time. He declined to say whether a suspect has been taken into custody.

Morganelli also didn't know where the homicide took place. Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek told the Morning Call newspaper the homicide occurred on Sioux Street.

Bethlehem Police Chief Mark DiLuzio was not immediately available to provide further information.
