Logista Libros, a company belonging to the Logista group dedicated to the independent distribution of books in Spain, has purchased the national book distribution and publishing company SGEL Libros, as reported this Tuesday by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). .

SGEL Libros distributes general publications and educational books nationwide and has a specialized publishing line in the teaching sector.

It currently distributes to more than 8,000 points of sale in different marketing channels, including bookstores, kiosks and hypermarkets, and manages more than 300,000 orders a year in its online channel.

The company has a 14,000 square meter warehouse in Guadalajara, where it houses more than 100,000 references in stock, which allows the preparation and delivery of all orders to any point of sale in 24 or 48 hours.

In fiscal year 2022, SGEL Libros recorded sales of 50 million euros.

With this strategic acquisition, Logista Libros incorporates important publishing funds and adds the distribution of educational books to its catalog.
