Royal Dutch Shell posted an attributable net profit of 31,899 million dollars (31,820 million euros) in the first nine months of 2022, which is more than three times the result of 8,640 million dollars (8,619 million euros) recorded in the same period last year, as reported by the multinational, which will increase the dividend for the fourth quarter.

Between the months of July and September, the oil company registered a net attributable profit of 6,743 million dollars (6,726 million euros), the second best quarterly result in its history, compared to losses of 447 million dollars (446 million euros ) recorded in the third quarter of last year.

Shell's revenues in the first nine months of 2022 totaled 285,006 million dollars (284,305 million euros), 56.2% more than until September 2021, including an advance of 60.4% of revenues in the third quarter , up to 98,759 million dollars (98,516 million euros).

"We are delivering strong results at a time of continued volatility in global energy markets," said Shell CEO Ben van Beurden.

Likewise, the executive announced a new share buyback program of 4,000 million dollars (3,990 million euros) that the company expects to complete by the announcement of its results for the fourth quarter of 2022.

"In addition, we plan to increase the dividend per share for the fourth quarter, which will be paid in March 2023, by 15%," he added.
