PORTO, Portugal, Nov. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonae companies brought more than 300 employees to this year's edition of the Web Summit, the world's largest technology and innovation conference, as shown on featured video. This represents more than 1,000 registrations throughout the editions, a significant example of the Group's continuous commitment to the personal and professional development of its people. The goal is to enhance knowledge and skills in areas that are critical for business innovation and digital transformation.
The group of employees attending includes professionals from various Sonae companies, mainly from retail (MC, Worten and Zeitreel), real estate (Sierra), financial services (Universo), investment management (Bright Pixel) and of the Group's holding company. Sonae attendees represent different professional areas and functional levels, including researchers, designers, analysts, store personnel, engineers, architects, project managers, sales managers, board members and directors, among others. It should also be noted that more than half of the attendees are women, favoring the development of female talent in a sector in which it is still scarce.
