The Düsseldorf public Prosecutor's office is investigating two rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang for incitement. This has been communicated by official spokesman Ralf Herrenbrück on request.

Thus, two criminal charges were received. Now lyrics of rappers are checked for ir criminal relevance, said Herrenbrück. It is not only about lyrics from current album, but also earlier songs of rappers. The West German newspaper had previously reported on this.

In ir current album y had mocked survivors of Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz. Despite anti-Semitism accusations, album was awarded Echo Music Award. The ceremony had caused a scandal. Several laureates of previous years, including Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Daniel Barenboim, Klaus Voormann and Igor Levit, had returned ir awards. Finally, price was abolished. The music company Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) had left cooperation with two dormant.

In response, International Auschwitz Committee invited rappers to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp memorial site.
