In the EU, the amount of plastic waste has risen by 12 percent from 2005 to 2015 – even by almost a third in Germany. Only three countries produce more rubbish.

In avoidance of plastic waste, according to a report, Germany is anything but exemplary. 37 kilograms of plastic packaging waste each German produces on average every year, newspapers of Funk Media group quoted from a study of Institute of German Economy in Cologne. This is six kilograms more than EU average.

According to study, which is based on data from European Statistical Authority Eurostat, in EU volume of waste by plastic packaging increased by 12 percent from 2005 to 2015, newspapers reported. In Germany, increase is even 29 percent. Even more plastic waste per capita than Germans currently produced only Ireland (61 kilograms), Luxembourg (52) and Estonia (46.5). The Croats were best cut with 12.4 kilograms of plastic waste per capita.

"In Europe, far too little is still being done to recycle garbage," said environmental economist at IW, Adriana Neligan, newspapers.

The European Commission refore intends to adopt a ' strategy for plastic waste in environment ' on 6 December, according to report. Accordingly, re should be an EU-wide system for separating waste. The recycling capability of products is also a topic. While in Germany almost half of plastic waste is recycled and remainder is mostly burned, or countries bundled ir waste frequently in landfills.
