- Children's support entities in the Basque Country, Catalonia, Galicia or Madrid will also benefit from this campaign that gives away books to organizations that develop childhood projects, international cooperation organizations, shelters and schools with difficult performance. Likewise, boys and girls from Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic will be recipients of these donations.

- This initiative, which is aimed especially at boys and girls in situations of vulnerability and exclusion, joins other projects of the SM Foundation to promote reading that aim to promote the emotional well-being of minors and improve their reading comprehension.

- The SM Foundation has donated, in 2023, more than 60,000 children's and youth literature books from the SM publishing house to several Ibero-American countries.

Madrid, January 4, 2024.-The SM Foundation announces the V edition of its solidarity campaign Pages to Dream, whose objective is for children and young people from vulnerable environments to enjoy readings that encourage their imagination and creativity.

This year, the SM Foundation donates 36,000 books to children's projects throughout Spain through child protection organizations, and nearly 30,000 to countries such as Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico or the Republic Dominican, among others. Since this initiative began in 2019, nearly 300,000 books have been donated.

Collaborations to deliver the books

This year the donations are destined to shelters for refugees, shelters for minors, care and protection projects for children and adolescents, associations of parents of children with cancer, grouped rural centers and international cooperation projects.

To develop this project, the SM Foundation has the collaboration of different entities for the protection of children and the promotion of culture: the Messengers of Peace Foundation, the Secretariado Gitano Foundation, the Spanish Federation of Children with Cancer, the Spanish Red Cross and the Amigó Foundation. among other.

There has been invaluable support from volunteers from the SM Group, who have served as pages to their majesties the Three Wise Men and, accompanied by their children and their families, have collaborated in the preparation of donations destined for children's organizations and nursing homes. fostering minors.

Bring reading to the places where it is most needed

Since this initiative began in 2019, nearly 300,000 books have been donated.

The SM Foundation focuses its work on equity and equal educational opportunities for boys, girls and young people, especially those who are in situations of vulnerability and exclusion.
