TOKYO, Sept. 20, 2023/PRNewswire/ -- Paramount (NASDAQ: PARA, PARAA) today announced the upcoming launch of its premium Paramount streaming service in Japan with J:COM, a leading cable television operator and broadband Internet providers in Japan, and with WOWOW Inc., the main premium paid channel in the market. Japan is the second Asian market to launch the service, following its debut in Korea last year.

Starting December 1, Paramount will bring its popular movies and series to Japan through the on-demand services of J:COM and WOWOW, at no additional costs to its subscribers.

Fans will be able to enjoy Paramount original titles such as TULSA KING, MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN and STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS. These fan-favorite titles will go on sale at launch for the first time in Japan.

Paramount will also include titles from Paramount's extensive library: Hollywood hits like Mission: Impossible, Bumblebee and G.I. Paramount Pictures' Joe; popular CBS television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and NCIS; Favorite animated shows like Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and Comedy Central's South Park; popular SHOWTIME® titles such as DEXTER and RAY DONOVAN; and MTV young adult series and iconic music shows, such as the MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
