KEMPTEN, Germany, Feb. 16, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- With XNH, ABT presents a vehicle concept that represents a true first in the company's more than 125-year history. It is the first caravan of the Bavarian company. In collaboration with renowned industry partners, a total of 500 VW T6.1s are being extensively converted with numerous unique details and features. "You will hardly find a more modern and higher-quality vehicle in this segment on the market," Enthusiastic Managing Partner Hans-Jürgen Abt enthused about the transformation of the motorhome: "The name ABT XNH of the complete vehicle stands for 'Explore New Horizons' We are addressing all those who want to broaden their horizons and for whom maximum comfort is the ultimate form of freedom, both in everyday life and in free time." The caravan can be seen live for the first time on f.r.e.e. at booth 131 of sales partner Autohaus Schweiger in hall B4. Bavaria's largest travel and leisure fair will take place from February 22 to 26, 2023.
In terms of exclusivity and lightweight construction, the ABT XNH can definitely compete with other legendary complete vehicles from the renowned Bavarian company. After all, ABT Sportsline already has a lot of experience with the Multivan, which is one of the best sellers in the tuning program. In the case of the XNH, the range includes a front grille, front and rear aprons, side skirts and a striking foil finish with contour lines. The highlight are the 18-inch XNH wheels in noble glossy black with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. As the centerpiece, the campsite conversion in particular is revolutionary.
The interior of the ABT camper, powered by a 150 hp (110 kW) diesel engine, has been designed by VANING GmbH. The ABT XNH stands out for its functional and noble design furniture, with a high-quality finish. For the surfaces, scratch-resistant and easy-care HPL is combined with hand-selected real wood panels. The "wall cladding" is made up of lightweight, flocked GRP moldings. The assembly of all components is carried out by Volkswagen Group Services GmbH.
Five seats join a spacious kitchen with a double induction hob, fridge and table. In addition, at the rear there is a removable outdoor kitchen with a gas cooker. The company is particularly proud of the self-sufficient power supply, guaranteed by photovoltaic modules. A lithium battery has been installed as a storage unit. Respect for the environment is also included in the specifications of the ABT XNH thanks to highly effective thermal insulation made from sheep's wool and recycled material. This guarantees a low need for heating and comfortable temperatures.
