Häagen-Dazs' 'Rose Project' announces top 50 nominees
LONDON, Nov. 23, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- On International Women's Day 2023, Häagen-Dazs has launched the "Rose Project", an initiative to honor the legacy of Rose Mattus, the brand's co-founder, who will allocate $100,000 (USD) in scholarships to support entrepreneurial and pioneering women who "don't stop." Today, November 23, commemorating Rose's birthday, Häagen-Dazs will celebrate her legacy by announcing the top 50 nominees, shortlisted for her achievements, as well as announcing the 5 globally successful and recognized judges of the 'Rose Project'.
More than 2,500 applications were received for the Häagen-Dazs 'Rose Project' highlighting the non-stop efforts and social contributions of women around the world. Of these, 50 talented and inspiring candidates have been shortlisted, who will be offered the opportunity to win one of five scholarships of $20,000 (USD) each. These 5 lucky winners will be announced on International Women's Day 2024, this award will be to encourage them to continue their exceptional work, help them unleash their potential or support them to contribute to a cause they are passionate about. The list of these top 50 finalists includes women from 17 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Australia and America. The jury, made up exclusively of women from around the world, has been carefully selected to make this important selection of winners of the 'Rose Project'. Inspiring, passionate and representative of the global nature of the project and the brand, the judges will work together to select 5 worthy honorees from the Top 50 list, who have followed their own path of significant achievements and embody the Häagen-Dazs spirit of " do not stop".
The panel includes UK-based author, charity founder and TV presenter Katie Piper, fashion entrepreneur and women's fertility advocate Velda Tan from Singapore, Spanish businesswoman and creative director Inés Arroyo , the founder of the women's community network, Lady Multitask, Mercedes Palomar from Mexico and the Global Director of Häagen-Dazs Shops, Aurélie Lory from France, representing the brand.
