In this first phase, participants will be able to send their scripts from April 2 to April 26 to participate in the 3rd Edition of the OUIGO Pride 2024 Short Film Festival, which will be held during Pride week in Madrid.

Madrid, April 4, 2024.- After the success of the first two editions, OUIGO joins the Pride celebration for another year through the 3rd Edition of the OUIGO Pride 2024 Short Film Contest. An initiative that invites everyone to participate. all those people who want to tell a story about diversity through the creation of a script for a short film and carry out its subsequent production. Up to 10 scripts will be selected by a jury made up of professionals from the sector such as Inés Pintor and Pablo Santidrián , directors, scriptwriters and producers of the acclaimed series El tiempo que te dio, Alejandro Melero, playwright of essay and fiction works, and with two representatives of the brand, Federico Pareja, Commercial and Marketing Director of OUIGO, Rocío Jiménez, Marketing and Communication Manager. During the first 2 editions of the Festival, the company received more than 400 scripts, achieving a large participation. Once the shorts are delivered, and coinciding with the Pride celebration in Madrid, the 3rd Edition of the OUIGO Orgullo 2024 Short Film Festival will be held with a gala. Something that undoubtedly promises to be an evening full of emotions where the short films will come to life on the big screen. OUIGO will announce the 2 winning short films of this edition, who in addition to receiving the voucher to travel on OUIGO of €100 and the financial prize of €350, will be awarded €4,000 for the best Short Film chosen by the jury and €1,500 for the favorite from the public.As a novelty, this year OUIGO will also award the Best Performance, granting a €100 voucher to travel on OUIGO to the best performance within one of the 10 short finalists.How to get on the diversity train 2024Phase I: Delivery of scriptsFrom April 2, 2024 to April 26, 2024, all those who want to tell a story will be able to send their script to OUIGO through the emailcortametrajes@ouigo.es (see participation rules here)Phase II: Selection of scriptsFrom April 27, 2024 to May 3, 2024, both included, a Jury of Experts and two representatives of the brand, will be in charge of selecting up to 10 finalist scripts. The finalist scripts will be chosen based on criteria of creativity and originality, taking into account that the story revolves around diversity, and that part of it is inspired by the OUIGO trains. Once this selection of scripts is made public the next May 6, 2024, the finalist scripts will have to carry out the production and recording of the script they have submitted, with a deadline for delivery of June 14, 2024. On June 17, 2024, the finalist shorts will be published so that may be subject to popular voting until June 23, 2024, and the public's favorite short will be the one that receives the Audience Award.Phase III: OUIGO Pride Short Film Festival 2024During Pride week in Madrid, OUIGO will celebrate in a room of screenings in the city a gala where all the selected short films will be screened, and the winners will be announced, followed by the awarding of awards to the short film chosen by the jury, and to the short film chosen by popular vote.OUIGO encourages everyone to participate and not to miss the opportunity to tell their stories and be part of this long-awaited third edition.
