On Wednesday, Daily Faceoff media reporter Frank Seravalli reported that the player suffered a fractured fibula during last Monday's Winter Classic clash.

DeBrusk had been dominant in this meeting, he who scored both goals for his team in a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 26-year-old has hit the target 16 times and provided 14 assists for 30 points in 36 games so far in 2022-23.

At this time, the Bruins have not publicly discussed DeBrusk's condition. The forward, however, was not training for his team in Los Angeles, as the Massachusetts club prepares to face the Kings on Thursday night.

This is the first duel of a trip of three on opposing rinks. DeBrusk would not have accompanied his teammates on the West Coast of the United States.
