Comments: Pierson pulled off one of the great rides of the season to keep Herrmann down for the entire third period and win 1-0 in the District 11 3A final and give the Blue Eagles an enormous team boost. For that, the Blue Eagle sophomore goes straight to No. 1, where the Nazareth faithful probably think he should have been all along. The arc of the wrestling rankings does bend, usually, towards justice. Herrmann is obviously No. 2; remember, he owns a 3-1 decision over Pierson at the EPC championships. Rubber match at Hershey? Markulics, because of his 3-1 win over Consorti, No. 3 and the Warrior, who pinned Rosengrant in the D-11 2A final, No. 4. Santiago drops here from 120 after recovering from broken ribs. The Rover maybe could be ranked higher but this is a tough class; he’ll have to earn it.
