The Catalan regional parliament wants to meet on Monday and talk about a detachment from Spain. "Parliament will discuss, Parliament will meet. There will be a debate, and that is important, "said foreign policy representative of Catalan regional government, Raul Romeva, BBC.
On Thursday, Spanish Supreme Court banned regional parliament's meeting because a declaration of independence of Catalonia would violate constitution of country. The judges had already declared Catalan referendum on independence last Sunday illegal. In referendum, a clear majority had voted in favour of DieAbspaltung of economically strong region of Spain, but only 42% of voters had participated.
The government in Madrid had tried for weeks to prevent referendum and rejected a dialogue with leadership of regional government. In order to prevent secession of Catalonia, Spanish government, using article 155 of Constitution, could have deprived regional government of Catalonia and withdraw its partial autonomy. Catalonia regional president Carles Puigdemont said Bild newspaper he also holds his arrest by Spanish authorities for possible.

The reason for this was "unforeseen events" in Catalonia, possibly even disturbances in financial access for region. The creditworthiness of Catalonia has fallen to speculative category BB at Fitch.
