Schleswig-Holstein's Environment minister Robert Habeck wants to become federal Chairman of Greens. He will vote at Federal party congress in January, said Habeck Taz. His position as Schleswig-Mittelholsteinischer environmental and ministers he wants to give up a year in case of an election after a transitional period of "PI mal thumbs", he said furr.

Habeck has long been considered a possible candidate for green Presidency. The 48-year-old could be succeeded by party leader Cem Özdemir, who is no longer in election. Özdemir himself had Habeck as a potential successor at end of November.

"The decision was extremely difficult for me because I had to weigh many things against each or," said Habeck. "Now for me moment has come to say: I would like to become federal chairman of my party." For Greens, he sees potential as a corrective in society.

Fighting spirit and idealism

The Greens choose ir traditional double lace in seven weeks. Özdemirs colleague Simone Peter from left wing wants to make anor choice. Usually a woman and a man share chairmanship, representing both party wings – realists and Fundis.
