The player with 22 Grand Slam titles, who almost gave up in the quarter-finals, is due to hold an impromptu press conference this Thursday at 7:20 p.m. local time (GMT 1).

Winner of the first two Majors of the year (Australian Open and Roland-Garros), he suffered from an abdominal tear seven millimeters in length, the Spanish daily Marca reported on Thursday.

He thus lets Kyrgios access his first Grand Slam final without playing.
