Pedestrian gains attention of cops by screaming in street

A woman gained the attention of Washington Township officers when she was found standing in the middle of the street and yelling at passing drivers, police said.

Autum Dourourips, 20, of Washington on Feb. 8 was causing a scene in the first block of West Washington Avenue in the borough, according to police. Police said she appeared to be crossing the roadway -- while not in a designated crosswalk -- and hollering at passing cars.

Dourourips was charged with violating a municipal maintaining a nuisance ordinance and cited for failing to use a pedestrian crosswalk. She was processed and released with a pending court date.
