The weather will be cloudy and rainy from Pontiac to the North Shore, via Mont-Laurier, La Tuque and Quebec, while Environment Canada forecasts 40 to 60 millimeters of rain by Friday afternoon.

Sectors such as Montreal and Montérégie as well as Estrie will be relatively spared, at least for Thursday, when temperatures of 24 degrees are expected.

The Capitale-Nationale could receive up to 15 millimeters of rain on Thursday and as much the next day, while areas a little further north such as Saguenay will be wetter.

In the east of the province, the federal agency forecasts a sustained rainy episode, especially on Friday, when 30 to 40 millimeters are expected in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Côte-Nord regions.

Strong winds will also be present and will sweep several sectors in the south and center of the province with gusts of 50 km/h during the afternoon in the Laurentians, Montreal and Estrie.
