The Ship2B Impact Forum is the reference event in impact economy in Spain. This year it will have more than 300 leaders in its face-to-face format in Barcelona on November 30

The IX edition of the Ship2B Impact Forum will be held on November 30 in Barcelona.

The event will host more than 150 companies from around the world and more than 30 speakers.

In its previous edition it exceeded the figure of 5,000 virtual attendees.

Once again this year, the Ship2B Foundation organizes the benchmark event in impact economics in Spain: the ninth edition of the Ship2B Impact Forum. This time it will take place on November 30 in Barcelona. At a time when social and environmental crises are becoming increasingly relevant, the Ship2B Foundation, founded in 2013 by Maite Fibla, Clara Navarro and Xavier Pont, promotes the impact economy with its daily work, a new economic model in the that companies not only seek to obtain economic profitability, but also to produce a positive impact on society and the environment.

"The impact economy involves shaking the foundations of capitalism as we know it until now, as well as the culture of organizations and the mentality of leaders," says Clara Navarro, co-founder and general director of the Ship2B Foundation. And it is that the Ship2B Foundation insists that the impact economy covers many more areas than the link with the Sustainable Development Goals or the presentation of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reports: it is a change of logic, of situating impact at the same level as finance.

This ninth edition of the Ship2B Impact Forum, whose motto is Leading Systems Change, will have a hybrid format: although the Ship2B Foundation wants to give prominence to the face-to-face event, the presentations will be broadcast in streaming. It will have the support of the Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat de Catalunya, closed-door sessions are planned and, among many others, speakers such as Hunter Lovins (President of Natural Capitalism Solutions), Ángel Simón (Executive President of the Agbar group), Laurie J. Spengler (CEO of Courageous Capital Advisors), Carles Navarro (General Manager of BASF Española) and Bertrand Badré (Founder of Blue Like An Orange Capital). These outstanding professionals will inspire society through the story of disruptive practices and will agitate companies to optimize the triad of profitability, risk and impact.

"We must move from a sustainability strategy to a sustainable strategy and align that impact with the interests of the business," said Robert Metzke, director of sustainability at Philips, at the last edition of the Ship2B Impact Forum. And it is that the previous edition brought together high-level speakers such as María Peña Mateos (ICEX), Tina Rosenberg (The New York Times), Saskia Bruysten (Yanus Social Business), Juan E. Naya (ISDIN) or Juan Bernal (SpainNAB) , among many others.

Prior to the celebration of the IX Ship2B Impact Forum, the Ship2B Impact Awards ceremony will take place on the night of November 29, with three award categories: the new Impact Evolution category -recognition of the impact initiative of a large company- and the two historic ones, Impact Champion and Impact Startup, which were won last year by Lisa Hehenberger, director of the Esade Center for Social Impact, and Ecoalf, respectively.

All in all, on November 29 and 30, Barcelona will be the epicenter of the impact economy and the Ship2B Foundation will be a determining agent in integrating the impact and aligning it with the global strategies of companies. Anyone who registers through the Impact Forum website (https://www.impact-forum.org/) will have virtual and totally free access to both the presentations and the round tables.
