Lafarga joins the entity to replace Carles Alsina, whom he will also replace on the Management Committee of the joint venture. He has more than 25 years of experience in business management in top-level international banks.

BBVA Allianz, the bancassurance joint venture of BBVA and Allianz, has appointed Pablo Lafarga as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO), replacing Carles Alsina. Lafarga has extensive experience in the banking sector of our country and will also occupy a position on the Management Committee of BBVA Allianz. Pablo joins the BBVA Allianz team, from BBVA Spain, where he served as Head of Transactional Banking for Companies. The new Business Director of BBVA Allianz has more than 25 years of experience in business management, with a special focus on the real estate sector, treasury management and short-term financing for companies in Spain. With a degree in Law and Economics from the University of Deusto, Pablo Lafarga joined BBVA in 1997, where he held various positions of responsibility. After a three-year break, between 2018 and 2021, where he was in charge of the commercial management of important Real Estate groups, he returned to BBVA to lead its transactional banking area for companies. Lafarga joins the BBVA Allianz team to drive the growth of its business, marked by the commitment to digital transformation and adaptation to new customer demands.
