BRATISLAVA, Slovakia, April 12, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- STARMUS Festival co-founders Garik Israelian, PhD, Sir Brian May, and Jean-Michel Jarre, along with ESET CEO Richard Marko, and CEO of VÚB Josef Kausich, revealed at a press conference yesterday in Bratislava many news about the next edition of STARMUS VII that will take place in Bratislava next May.

In partnership with ESET, STARMUS VII will kick off with the spectacular "Bridget from the future" concert on May 12 by renowned electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre that will include a historic cameo with legendary guitarist Brian May. Queen and co-founder of STARMUS. Set against the stunning backdrop of the SNP Bridge over the Danube River, this monumental event will be open to the public and those attendees with STARMUS tickets will have privileged access to the concert closer to the stage.

In addition to announcing Jarre as the headliner, it was announced that Jean-Michel Jarre will be joining the STARMUS Advisory Board. The prestigious ceremony of the Stephen Hawking Medal for Scientific Dissemination - which recognizes outstanding contributions to the dissemination of science - will be held at STARMUS VII and will conclude with the concert, the only product of the house, the Sonic Universe, whose poster includes joins Laurie Anderson with her performance 'Ark'/'Lifeboat', which, together with The Offspring and Tony Hadley, promises an unforgettable fusion of music.

Complementing the STARMUS conference and concert program is STARMUS Camp, a vibrant center of exploration and learning designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists. Located on Bratislava's main square, it will offer innovative exhibitions, immersive experiences and a dynamic program of live entertainment open to attendees of all ages. The STARMUS City Program is designed specifically for partner universities and will feature more than 20 lectures by renowned scientists and astronauts. Lectures will cover a variety of topics, including space exploration and environmental sciences, among others. Students will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers and thus enrich their academic experience.

Finally, during the press conference, it was announced that VÚB Banka, the second largest bank in Slovakia, has joined as a sponsor of STARMUS VII to inspire people to make a difference in the world.
