Mickey Fein, who spent the last nine seasons on College Hill in Easton, has been named pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.

Fein, of Forks Township, has roots in Massachusetts. He grew up Retrobet in Barnstable and played and coached high school ball there.

"We are excited about the addition of Mickey Fein to our staff," said Harvard coach Tim Murphy, who spent time on the Lafayette staff in the 1990s. "He is a very experienced and highly respected offensive coach with roots in Massachusetts, so he is a great fit on all levels."

Fein was Lafayette's offensive coordinator the past eight seasons and spent his first year with the Leopards as quarterbacks and wide receivers coach.

He left Lafayette with head coach Frank Tavani's departure in November.

Fein's tenure at Lafayette included a stint as interim head coach in 2016 and the Leopards' qualifying for the NCAA tournament in 2013 after winning the Patriot League title.

Fein, a former high school and college quarterback for four years at the University of Maine, coached three of Lafayette's top 10 all-time quarterbacks in career passing yards.

He has also worked at Murray State, Tennessee-Martin and his alma mater Maine.
