MADRID, 7 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The strike called by the CGT union in Renfe has been followed by 2.95% of the entire company workforce, mainly in the workshops, so the minimum services are being fulfilled without incident.

According to company data consulted by Europa Press, in the night and morning shifts, the strike has been supported by 153 of the 5,192 workers that the public company has, of which 133 work in workshops.

Therefore, the minimum services set by the Government are being met: in Cercanías 75% at rush hour and 50% the rest of the day; 72% on AVE and Long Distance; 65% in Medium Distance, and 25% in Merchandise.

This Monday is the first day of the two that make up the CGT strike call, with next Friday, November 11, the second day.

The majority unions in the company, CC.OO., UGT and Semaf, decided to call off the strike that they announced a few weeks ago, considering that the company had promised to advance in the signing of a new collective agreement and to raise salaries, among other things. initiatives.

However, CGT considers that these agreements that led to the cancellation are "insufficient to really improve the working conditions" of the group of railway workers.
