Apple announces delays in the latest iPhone models due to Covid restrictions in China

MADRID, 7 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The American technology giant Apple has warned its customers that the waiting times to receive the new iPhone models (iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max) will increase as a result of the impact that the restrictions imposed to contain the Covid-19 are having in one of the factories that assemble the products of the multinational in China.

Specifically, Apple has explained in a statement that the restrictions due to Covid-19 have temporarily affected the main iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max assembly plant, located in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, which is currently operating with a "significantly reduced" capacity.

In this way, although the Cupertino multinational has highlighted the strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, it has warned that a lower rate of delivery is expected for both models than previously expected, for so customers "will experience longer wait times to receive their new products."

"We are working closely with our supplier to return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of all workers," the company explained.
