The acting national director of public health, Luc Boileau, indicated in a press briefing that an increase in cases of COVID seems to have settled in the province for a few days.

"We're not stepping into a new wave, but we're expecting ripples like that," he said Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. Boileau therefore invited the population to “certain vigilance” in their behavior

“COVID is still there, it has not disappeared (…) People at risk must continue to protect themselves,” he said.

The increase in contacts, especially without a mask, could explain the many new cases.
