The US car service provider is expanding its business with purchase of E-bike distributor jump bikes. The company shared wish to take over provider specializing in electric bicycles. A purchase price was not mentioned.

Up to now, jump bikes offers over 12,000 e-bikes in 40 cities in six countries. In USA, start-up is active in capital city of Washington and San Francisco. In Europe you can use service of company via partners in English city of Brighton as well as in Polish Kraków and Czech Brno. Under name social bicycles, jump bikes sells its technology to cities as well. The electric bicycles of jump bikes are not dependent on fixed docking stations, but can be turned off everywhere.

Jump bikes had already worked toger on a partnership with Uber. In west of San Francisco, customers were able to book bicycles from jump bikes using app. About 100 employees are supposed to change over to takeover, a spokeswoman shared.

Uber-chef Dara Khosrowshahi wrote in a blog post that customers would have liked to find practical and environmentally friendly method of "going up and down striking hills of San Francisco". The test of cooperation with jump bikes worked well. The vision of bringing multiple modes of transport toger in uber-app came one step closer, company shared through Twitter.
