Today the 27th edition of the Cantabria Businesswoman Award will be held at the Santemar hotel, which on this occasion recognizes the merit and professional career of the woman who manages and leads the national expansion of the children's fashion firm Doña Carmen, María Laguna. One more year, and thanks to the collaboration of SODERCAN (Cantabria Business Development Society), Banco de Santander, the Cantabria Chamber of Commerce and various private sponsors, the businesswomen of Cantabria will bring together the main institutional and business representatives of the region in an event that, year after year, establishes itself as the reference forum to give visibility and recognition to the work of women in the company. In addition to the 2022 Cantabria Entrepreneur Award, ADMEC has announced this year's special mentions that have gone to the lawyer and president of the Economic and Social Council of Cantabria, Carmen Sánchez Morán, for her long and impeccable professional career; Amanda Lois, corset maker and businesswoman specializing in underwear for breast prostheses, in recognition of her perseverance, effort, and lifelong work; in the Mónica San José board of directors, for her international career in the field of senior management; in the women's soccer world champion, Naara Miranda, for her leadership in the sports field, and in Banco de Santander, for the constant support she provides to the business institution. The businesswomen of Cantabria come together again to put the final touch on a year in which, despite the macroeconomic environment, the business fabric of the region, driven by women managers, has not stopped growing and facing new challenges by sharing knowledge and resources through an association that, since 2010 and with the arrival of Eva Fernández Cobo, has managed to design and capillarize an ambitious project whose objective is to promote and help consolidate women's entrepreneurship and business management. ADMEC faces 2023 with an agenda full of business, social and training projects for all its associates.
